And let’s talk about that sexy patio — the perfect extension of the vibe inside, where you can unwind, sip, and even enjoy a good cigar under the open sky. “ Soul on ice is a cool bar to have a drink and dance, to chill, meet new friends, meet a new boo or hang out with your girls or guys. The sassy cognac chicken wings are good! Try the strawberry letter drink, lemon drop and vodka, and lemonade. The music was on point a mixture of all genres. They offer valet parking and coat check. The decor is upscale, and the bathrooms are clean! You can dress up or casual. I love to visit this spot when I'm in Detroit. ”
“ I attended for a birthday gathering. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful! The place was clean and had great music. The drinks were kinda small, but tasty. The glass was half-full. I had the veggie eggrolls and they were delicious! The only downside is that the server didn't really listen to me when I had a couple of concerns. She had a smile on her face (not a smirk, but a genuine smile), when she literally shrugged her shoulders at me as she walked away twice. ”
“ It is a great place to hang out, get a few drinks, listen to some music, and grab some delicious food. They are open during the winter on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. ”
“ I have been in search of a nice bar with an older crowd and I'm happy I found it. From start to finish they make you feel special. We arrived on a Thursday evening around 6:30 and stayed til 9:30. We got to sit right next to the DJ booth. The seats were comfy and pretty, the tables look nice as well. The drinks had a decent amount of liquor in them and were flavored well, even the drinks I requested that were not on the menu. The food....the food was superb for "bar" food. Salmon croquettes with potatoes, lobster bisque, lobster burger, waffle fries and shrimp cocktail I have zero complaints about. The DJs played great songs and the comedian, Darryl Earl, definitely made me laugh. The atmosphere is beautiful and the music is at the right decibel, not too loud and not too low. We will definitely be returning. -and if the owners view this, I was the woman with the blue hair ”
“ This is not my first time here and I can say that I've always had a good time due to the live dj that play great house and r&b and the tasty menu options available. Everything I have tried has been delicious and it did not disappoint. This time I got the spring rolls for an appetizer and then I got the lobster roll with seasoned waffle fries. The serving of lobster given was outstanding! The sauce with garlic butter on the side topped it off nicely! I'll be back. It's definitely a vibe with tasty treats! ”
“ Soul on Ice was a clean and quaint and intimate grown folks drinking den experience. It does have an outside patio. I went on a Thursday after work and I had a good time. No cover at that time. Valet was 10 but street parking is available. There was open seating at the time of 5pm and we sat at the bar. The turkey burger and drink had a great taste and flavor. The owners were very cordial and hospitable. They came around and mingled with folks, and asked us about our experience. They had comedy for about an hour. Great food, drinks, music and people. ”
“ The food was amazing. Had a lobster burger and it was worth the money. The drinks were on point and definitely strong. Typical prices that you would pay at any establishment for some good drinks. Our waiter was excellent as well. The only downside is that the place is very small, so it's best to get there early ”
